While I did manage to get the kids down for a ridiculously cute and long nap yesterday (see it here), they don’t happen very often in our house. Hazel is at that age now where she fights anything and everything and well Everett’s naps are often short and sweet little catnaps. These little catnaps are the best kind of nap though.
A short nap; a light sleep.
intr.v. cat·napped, cat·nap·ping, cat·naps
To take a short nap; doze lightly.
Thanks to yesterdays ridiculously long nap, a solid two hours and the longest he’s ever napped, he was wide awake at 3:45 am. So aside from today being a multiple cup of coffee kind of day, he was ready for a nap very early this morning. We had hardly finished eating breakfast and he was rubbing his eyes. Well within seconds of him being upstairs he fell asleep and I placed him down on my bed beside the cat. He’s a cuddler so the warmth of the cat meant I was free to go, or in this case snap 1000 pictures and feeling the stabbing pain of my ovaries because they were just so darn cute. For a moment I actually thought we were going to lose our nap because the Hurricane came crashing into the room but we simply stirred a bit and then flipped over making the nap just that much cuter. Of course I couldn’t keep all the cuteness to myself so here you go, here’s todays catnap.
