{Bump Update} – 8 months

How far along: 34 weeks
Gender: It’s a boy! We didn’t find out with Hazel but opted to this time around to change things up. We are pretty excited to be welcoming a little guy, but will be happy no matter how it turns out 🙂
Weight gain: 20 lbs
Maternity clothes: Yes and no, all depends. I can actually still get into some of my jeans and shorts, which is beyond a miracle I think. For the most part though it’s been too hot, I think I’ve worn my maternity jeans from last pregnancy once now. I have been wearing lots of skirts and dresses to work, trying to stay as comfortable as possible.
Sleep: I would say I am still sleeping fairly well. The odd night I toss and turn a bit trying to get comfy or wake up with a bit of heart burn or having to pee. I think I would be a little more comfortable if it was a bit cooler out. When the heat wave first started Evan was ready to run out and buy an air conditioner to keep the house at peace for the remainder of my pregnancy. While it would have be nice, I just couldn’t justify spending the money on it at the moment.
Best moment this month: Watching Hazel interact with my belly. She loves to pull my shirt up and give it kisses. In the morning when she wakes up we always ask her what she’s dreamt about the night before and she always says “Baby Brudder”. It melts my heart.
Worst moment this month: Being exhausted after work, pretty much everyday. By the time I get home from work and picking up Hazel, I am just beat. I have no energy to do anything, let alone cook dinner. Thank goodness she likes pizza 🙂
Miss anything: WINE! ugh I could totally go for a glass or two right now!
Movement: Lots and lots of movement and the movements are really big. Sometimes they can be almost painful. It’s definitely a distraction at work when I have clients in my office and all of a sudden I get a jab to the ribs or my stomach does the wave!
Cravings: Aside from the wine, haha, none really. I think it doesn’t help that it’s been so hot out as well. I have such a heard time trying to figure out what I want most of the time. I think Evan is about ready to kill me because I am so indecisive.
Queasy or sick: I’ve never really been queasy but I am definitely still getting sick on occasion. Not lots just once and a while, and always in the morning.
Looking forward to: Meeting this little monkey! We only have 6 weeks to go, which is scary and exciting at the same time. This pregnancy feels like it has flown by! Hazel also joined us at 38 weeks, so knowing there is a chance we could meet this little guy in a month is even crazier!
