Keeping Up With Mrs. Jones – Maternity Fashion

The lovely Mrs. Jones is back sharing some more maternity fashion tips with us. This week she’s talking about the importance of finding versatile pieces. Pieces than can take you from work to dinner with little fuss.

Blazer: Aritzia
Tights: Aritzia

I absolutely LOVE this dress that I just bought at Winner this weekend! We were invited to a charity dinner Saturday night and the first words frantically out of my mouth were: ‘What’s the attire?!?!?” I was SO worried I wouldn’t find anything to wear and lo and behold – here was this beauty on the CLEARANCE rack at Winners!!!

I’ve always loved wearing dresses and find that they have been my best ally in pregnancy – especially at the office. I find the v-neck and gathered rushing along the side of this dress to be extremely flattering.

I also really appreciate that this dress is multi-functional (SO important when buying new things during pregnancy as the cost adds up quickly). It can be worn both to work – throw on a blazer and tights- or to a dinner party or evening event – add some strappy sandals and a statement necklace (and a little self tanner if going bare legged 😉 ).

Doesn’t Erin look amazing? I know what your thinking, where the heck is her bump? It’s there my friends, I promise! Erin was 23 weeks in this picture and I have a feeling she’s going to pop over the next week or two. I can’t wait to see what she shares with us next.

With my first baby I felt it was easy to continue to be fashionable in my pregnancy. I looked great and seriously loved dressing up and showing off my growing belly!
The second time I was able to use some of the awesome maternity clothes that I had splurged on when we had double income no kids.

THEN the third pregnancy…well I feel like I need to book a nanny so I can go out and try to find something that fits this bump without any kids getting bored of my indecisiveness. This bump showed up way sooner and my ass remembered how big it got in the other pregnancies, and sprang forward just as fast at the bump. Oh dear!!
