Aloha from the sunny shores of Maui. Today I am popping by to share with you my Mothers Day Gift Guide. I realized as I was posting this that I have never share a Mothers Day Gift Guide before!
At first it seemed a bit odd but now that I think about it, it makes sense. As much as I love these “holidays” and I am all for splurging on our loved ones we don’t really celebrate them in our house. We might do a little brunch and let the other one sleep in for an extra five minutes but we don’t shower each other with gifts. I think it’s partially because if there is something we really want we will go and get it for ourselves.
At the end of the day the two best gifts I could ask for are the ones we created. Now it may sound cheesy as heck but it’s true. It’s the reason we celebrate being a mom today and all the days we stick it out with our dry shampoo and cold coffee. We love what we do and we wouldn’t change it for a thing. Am I right or am I right?
This being said say someone *hint, hint* was to show up with an unexpected item or two to brighten my day. These are some of the things that would be at the top of my wish list right now.
It wasn’t until I finished putting this together that I realized had a little bit of a theme going on. At the end of the day all mom really wants to do is relax! I also love how a handful of the items I picked are from the Fraser Valley. K’Pure is handmade in Mission and both New Moon Tea and Three Corners Artisans are just down the street from me here in Chilliwack. Vancouver Candle Co is (of course) located in Vancouver, as is Smashtess . How gorgeous is that robe? The mini prayer beads are from The Cross in Yaletown and Callia flowers delivers all over the Vancouver area. Birdies Slippers are from San Fransisco so they are west coast enough for me and oh so comfy!
I hope you have a wonderful day celebrating the moms in your life and are absolutely spoiled with love and home made macaroni cards <3.
