Shopping Made Easy, the Third Time Around

Isn’t it funny when we look back at how we prepared ourselves for our first babies and we giggle at all the things we would have done differently had we only known better. I even giggle at some of the things I did the second time around but this time, I did a few things differently. This time I was going to learn from my past mistakes and with the help of the baby bundles collection at The Children’s Place the shopping was made easy, the third time around.  The Children’s Place

I remember it all to well, that instant feeling of excitement and the need to start shopping the moment I saw those two pink lines with my first. And that I did, I shopped and I shopped, except I did it all wrong. We didn’t find out what gender we were having so I stocked up on gender neutral outfits, lots of them. All in gray shades and patterns and for some reason I felt the need to buy several months ahead, purchasing lots of 3-6 months, some 0-3 months and nothing in newborn size. I balked at the thought of newborn clothing, what was the point my baby wasn’t going to fit it, it was so tiny.

And then she arrived, a whole 10 days early and everything I had packed in my hospital bag was swimming on her. I remember that next morning we were discharged from the hospital and away we went…. to the store. I waddled in, just 24 hours post pushing out my little 8lb Hazel and we picked out newborn clothes.  We picked out bodysuits and sleepers in different shades of pink with flowers and butterflies and then, then we headed home.

The Childrens Place

While I waited a lot longer to start my shopping this time I around when it did come time to stock up on wardrobe essentials for Ryerson I headed to The Children’s Place. Their Baby Bundles section is filled with baby essentials such as take me home sets, sleepers, sets of bibs, hats and little 3 or 4 coordinating outfit sets. It takes the stress out of trying to find essential pieces for that first year when the focus should be on snuggles. And speaking of taking the stress away, I was able to order all of my baby bundle essentials online, saving me from packing up the other two and heading 45 minutes away to our closest store. Talk about a double win!
