The fire ban officially kicked in this week here in BC, which means absolutely no out door fires unless they are from a controlled source, i.e. a propane fire pit. It really is unfortunate as campfires and camping are a right of passage to summer in my opinion. I mean there is nothing better than the smell of a real campfire, roasting marshmallows over an open flames, hello s’mores, and of course the smell that lingers for days in your hair and clothes. Of course I understand the reasoning behind it, so no real complaints on the ban. Thankfully a while back we were introduced to a way to have our s’mores even with a fire ban!
While we do go camping every summer (remember our outdoor movie night?) we don’t own a portable fire pit (yet, it it on my wish list) so there is no roasting marshmallows for us. However a few years ago we were introduced to a fun new way to have s’mores with out the need of a fire pit, but with the same great taste of the real deal! I’ve actually been meaning to share this with you guys since then but never got around to it. You can even see the pictures were taken in our old house, I’ve been holding onto this for that long!! So needless to say I am excited to finally getting around to sharing it with you.
Super Simple Indoor S’mores Dip
The best part of this s’mores creation is it can not only be done in ones oven but also heated on a barbecue if using a tinfoil pan. It is also super easy to make and much like the original s’more recipe only requires three ingredients, but with a slight twist 😉
- 1 package of Rolos
- Graham Crackers
- Line your oven safe baking dish with Rolos.
- Top Rolos with marshmallows
- Place in the oven on Broil of 5 - 10 minutes or until top is golden brown and marshmallows are starting to melt
- Dip your graham crackers in and enjoy!
Hope you enjoy!
