The Cheerio Diaries Small Business Stocking Stuffer Guide for the Littles {GIVEAWAY}

SS2015

I am so, so SO, excited about this post! At first I wasn’t going to do a gift guide, I did a gift guide series last year and just didn’t feel that it really fit with my site. It just wasn’t “me” to be sharing items that I had picked off the internet that I felt would be great gifts for others. The majority of it wasn’t items that I had tried or had, or even brands I really knew, just items that “looked” cool. It just doesn’t make sense for me to be sharing my opinion on things when I don’t really have one on them.  That being said this year I am bringing you The Cheerio Diaries Small Business Stocking Stuffer Guide for the Littles, this my friends I hold dear to my heart. I say it’s a stocking stuffer guide, but in all reality it’s a gift guide, if this were my kids stockings holy moly would they ever be lucky. This post started out small and then exploded it something much bigger than I could have imagined and I am so excited to be sharing it with you. Every single item / business involved in this gift guide is something that not only have I tried but LOVE. So with out further ado my friends here it is {now stick with me it is SO GOOD there are 2, yes 2 boards of items!!}

stocking1

1. Glitter & Spice – Gingerbread Cookie Teether {$32.50} When Hazel started teething I was unimpressed with the options available on the market to help “sooth” the pain. This time around there is an abundance of teething products on the market. Glitter & Spice is handmade by Lorene right here in Vancouver, BC. She creates stylish necklaces for bot mom and babes, as well as these delicious looking teethers, have you seen the Oreo cookie one!? Hazel and I both love Lorene’s necklaces and I can’t wait {well I can} but I am excited to have her great products for when Everett starts teething. They are all 100% food safe silicone and contain no yucky like lead or PVCS. PS 30% off on her site until December 1st!

2. Arrow & Lace Designs – Meadow Adjustable Headband {$13.95} I love these cute little headbands and have just ordered a few bows for Hazels stocking {RUN she has a HUGE sale on right now until Dec. 1st}. What I really love about Laura’s headbands is that they are adjustable, meaning you don’t have to worry about out growing them or if your kids bean is a little bit bigger than normal 😉 Laura has an amazing selection of beautiful high quality accessories that are made in Chilliwack, BC. Not only does Laura operate Arrow & Lace designs, she runs a blog on the side and is a mom of two little cuties. I honestly don’t know when she finds the time to do everything!

3. THE WILD – Soft Reindeer Toy Pillow {$24.50}  Ok, isn’t this little guy the CUTEST thing you have ever seen? Seriously when he showed up in the mail the other day I almost died {and I kind of wanted to keep him for myself} . I have been following Adriane {@thewildkidsapparel} on Instagram for a while now and I love everything she does. Her graphics are so cute and there is just something I love about a family run small business. Did you know that she collaborated with our all time favourite Lesley from Mushybooks? Well they did and the book is ridiculously cute! If you want to order anything from The Wild you will have to do it by Monday, November 30th, as they will be closing up shop to catch up and enjoy some much needed family time, so run, run run!!

4. Karameller Candy Shop – Stocking Stuffer bags {$3.49/100g} Located in the heart of Yaletown, Karameller is the newest cool kid on the block. Not only is the candy imported from Scandinavia it is made with high quality ingredients and is free of GMOS, trans fats and high-fructose corn syrup. This is the kind of candy you want to let your kids eat {if you don’t eat it first}.

5. Minimoc – City Plaid Mocs {$50 shop credit BUY ALL THE MOCS!} There are a couple of reasons why I LOVE Minimocs. 1. They stay on your kids feet, 2. They are made locally in Abbotsford, BC, 3. They make cute patterns like these City Plaid Mocs, 4.They are a family run business, 5. They have a cute little guy {Remy} thats about to turn 1, and 6. They are super nice and have big things coming for them. And they are giving one of you guys a $50 shop credit to purchase a pair of Mocs and I know which pair you SHOULD buy but I am not telling you yet 😉

6. Bobs & Lolo – Dirty Feet and Run Salmon Run Prize Pack {$25} “So much to do; so much to see, The friendship train is the place to be, Moving forward, there’s no turning back, C’mon everyone we’re on the right track” I don’t know about you but every time I turn on Treehouse and see Bob’s and Lolo all decked out in their conductor gear I can’t help but sing along. Vancouver based and full of energy these two ladies are sure to get your kids singing along. Now if you’ll excuse me I need to go download Wave Your Antlers as it’s that time of year!

7. Whistle & Flute – Black and White Everythang {$30 shop credit} Another shop I have several feelings for. I hosted my very first giveaway on this blog thanks to them {Thanks Miranda!} They make really cute kids clothes, clothes that get my husbands approval. Seriously that Panda shirt, Hazel wore it EVERY dang Saturday when I worked because Evan dressed her. Not only are the clothes cute they are unisex, win win! When kid A out grows it, kid B can wear it, no matter if they are a boy or a girl. Did I mention twinning? Yes! They make adult clothes too so you can match your mini me, everybody likes a good twinning day 😉 Huge Black Friday sale happening over there, go check it out!

Are you ready for more?!?! Because I’m not done yet!

stocking2

8. Monkey & Peanut – Starry Day Belt {$24} When Danielle first reached out to me last month about trying out one of her belts, I couldn’t say no. Not only did she win me over with her ridiculously cute patterns but it was something that we NEEDED. You see my child has a ridiculously small waist and long legs, a problem I’m sure I’m not alone with. I keep having to up her sizes to accommodate her length but her little waist is drowning in the pants, no matter how tight I cinch the inside adjuster. I know there are worse problems out there but there is just something about a toddler in distressed jeans that’s just too cute. Needless to say Monkey & Peanut came to the rescue at the perfect time and is doing it stylishly. PS 25% off until Monday November 30th.

9. Brandee Bublé- Jayde the Jaybird {$17.95} We love to read in our house, every night when Evan puts Hazel to bed they read a handful of stories. I can also at times find Hazel sitting in her reading nook reading to herself. So as you can imagine when Brandee released her first book last year O’Shae the Octopus {you can see our review here} we had to add it to our bookshelf. Well she’s back at it again with Jayde the Jaybird, a book about a little Jaybird that loves to sing {much like her own daughter Jayde}. Not only does Brandee write the cutest kids books, she is one of the nicest people I have met. She is so welcoming and such a pleasure to know! PS this copy is autographed so technically, it’s priceless 😉

10. The Little Moore Shop – Bandana Bib {$12.95} Isn’t it crazy when you connect with someone you met many moons ago and never thought you would again? This is the case with Jamie the owner of The Little Moore Shop and I. We played softball together back when I was in grade 3 or 4 and never would have thought we would be reconnecting years later with 5 kids between the three of us! Jamie is a mom to 3  and spends her “free” time making the cutest items for littles. She makes everything from bibs, and leggings to mocs! While she is taking a much deserved break to spend the holiday season with her family be sure to pop by her shop and give her some love for when she reopens in the new year!

11. Love Child Organics – Prize pack {$50}  Do you ever get that hometown pride or feeling when you see someone on TV and they are from the same area you live in? That’s the feeling I got when I first saw Leah and John on Dragons Den a few years ago. While they might have struck it big on Dragons Den signing a deal with a dragon, they still remain down to earth and keep the same values of providing children with the same nutritious snacks. We recently received a sampling of their newest items to try, the Owlies, Love Ducks and Teefies. While I’ve set aside the Teefies for Everett to enjoy soon, Hazel and I had no problems polishing off the Love Ducks and the Owlies. We are huge fans of the classic purees and I rarely leave the house with out one or two in my bag as they are still a go to snack for Hazel.

12. Banner Toys – Camera Wooden Baby Rattle {$23.95} As I started my Christmas shopping earlier this month I searched the internet high and low for items for Everett. Do you know how hard it is to shop for boys? Aside from your typical plastic toys you find at the big box stores there isn’t much out there. So you can imagine how excited I was when I stumbled upon Banner Toys! Not only do they make the cutest wooden baby rattles, but they personalize them for you, creating the perfect keepsake. You can choose whether you want to personalize the item with just your name, or add extra details like full name, birthdate weight etc. You are also able to pick which colours you would like in the rattle, I went with a white, black and grey for Everett’s elephant and can’t wait to give it to him on Christmas! PS they have a one day Black Friday sale running today only!

13. Bebe de Luxe – Petite {$7} When I Amanda first started selling her product earlier this year it caught my eye right away and I couldn’t wait to try it out. Well since I first tried it out, we have gone through many bags in our house and I have also gifted a few. Bebe de Luxe is a Coconut & Oat Bath that is free of nasties {think toxins, parabens, anything you don’t want on your babies delicate skin}. The product is also food grade so perfect for those babes that like to sip the bath water {Hazel I’m talking to you babe} and leaves their skin feeling super soft. When everybody’s asleep I like to grab myself a glass of wine, a candle and a scoop or two of Bebe de Luxe and have a mommy bath! Amanda’s got a Black Friday deal of 25% off as well, go give her some love!

14. Vonbon – Organic Cotton Baby Swaddle Blanket in Oak Geo {$48} Well it’s no secret I LOVE my Vonbon and you can usually find my kids sporting something from this amazing company. Another local mompreneur from Vancouver, Jen balances her time between her family life and creating her empire. We seriously cannot get enough of her stuff, the organic cotton is the softest and is super cozy against your little skin. When I received this blanket from Jen I wanted to snuggle up under it, it is that soft! Quality products and amazing customer service is what you get with Vonbon, the hardest part is finalizing your shopping cart! Head on over right now, Nov. 27 – Dec 1st they are giving 20% of orders of $50 or more, including already discounted items!

And there you have it friends, my gift guide for all the littles in your life.
