The Perfect Tree {Wordless Wednesday}
The first weekend of December we headed out to our favourite tree farm in Langley, Giesbrecht’s Tree Farm in search of the perfect Christmas tree. We went on the Sunday and lucked out big time with the weather, it was nice and sunny while we there, not a drop of rain in sight! The hardest part was trying to get Hazel too look at the big trees, she had her eyes on all the seedlings! We had our heart set on a Noble Fir, a tree we’ve had the last few years and absolutely loved. The mature Nobles were pretty picked through so we headed to a section that was a few years younger and found the tree that was perfect for us. Not to tall, not to short, nicely proportioned, with no large gaps between, she’s the perfect pair if you will and looks absolutely gorgeous in our living room.

Love the photos of you all amongst the trees. We just might go this route next year. And Hazel hugging the tree, priceless!
Oh I think you have too, the girls will love it!
I’m looking forward to having a real tree next year! We used to have one almost every year when I was a kid. One year my dad and brother cut down a tree that was to tall, we had to cut it in half. There was a tree indoors and one for the front porch. LOL.
Oh too funny!
That looks like it was a fun family adventure. What wonderful memories you are creating. You found a fantastic tree too!
An adventure it was, trying to keep up with a two year is impossible!
Now that’s a nice looking tree! I bet it smells amazing too!
It does, its a nice addition to the living room, if only for a short while!
I love these photos! They are so festive, definitely one’s to treasure!
Thanks!
Love the photos! What great memories you’re making with your little ones. And you tree is gorgeous! As you know, I love my fake tree, but once the kids are older, We’ll probably go to a tree farm to get at least a little tree for the experience.
Yes, you have to go at least once, even in the rain! This was my first experience and I don’t think it will be my last.
What great photos! This looks like such a fun memory. We live in Florida and do not have Christmas tree farms here. We just head to the tents and buy one out of the parking lot. Your way is SO much better!
I can imagine it being a totally different experience! I’ve lived in BC my whole life and this is the first time I have ever cut down my own tree.
