Three. I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that you are here, let alone three. It seems just like yesterday
we I (your dad was in no rush) were impatiently awaiting your arrival. On a Friday night after a long working day for your dad and many trips around the block for me you decided to surprise us ten days earlier than expected. The moment my water broke all we could do was look at each other and say, well this is it, it just got real. And boy did life get real.
You’ve taken the world and our hearts by storm. Perhaps this has something to do with the nickname you’ve received, Hurricane Hazel. You are a fiery little spirit and test us like no other. You love to laugh and play, and more importantly you put a smile on everyones face. You have a sense of adventure and love to explore. You ask a million questions everyday, and I love it, as you’re just trying to figure out how this big world works. You show no fear and want to do everything yourself. And while I sometimes think you are dawdling you are simply taking the time to stop and see the beauty in the little things.
Oh my dear, you truly will never know how much we love you. Watching you grow and learn is my favourite thing. I can’t wait to see what you discover next and what challenges you are will to take on.
Happy Birthday Hazel.
